Can the differential assembly be removed/installed in a H with the axles installed? You might be able to turn the brg housings to clear the bull gears, I don't know. I've gotten ahead of myself and installed the axle housings & axles before the differential & I think I messed up.

The bull gear pinion cage on the right side has to come out to install the differential. If you need to adjust the shimming, you might have to remove both pinion cages.

You will have to remove the bull gear from the axle before you can install the pinnion gear housing. In order to reinstall the bull gear on the axle once the pinnion gear & housing is in place, you will have to slide the axle out a couple of inches, then bring the bull gear into place so that it meshes with the pinnion gear and slide the axle into the bull gear. Not too difficult since you already have the top off.
