There is a Cub on ebay that is wider and higher than any I have ever seen. Is it factory or homemade? ebay item 320217013382

It looks to be a '59-'63 model by the oval "Cub" emblems on the hood doglegs. That deluxe seat and bent-over shift lever COULD be correct for that age of Cub.
If my theory holds, then what is incorrect is the grille. It should be a 4-bar grille, not a mesh grille. Also, the decals are wrong.
Exhaust is definitely wrong. While that tractor may have had the underslung exhaust, it would've been underslung. This exhaust runs back over the top of the rear axle...
Neat idea how they bolted two axle housings together on the right. Wonder how they did the shaft.

If that seat frame was green it would look exactly like the one on my late model B John Deere.

That cub is all home made. The seat is not correct. It should have the vertical exhaust. Either the rear end has been replaced or they have the wrong shift lever on it... :?

That is definitely homemade, at least the wide part. Notice that there are a total of three right-hand axle housings... Two are welded together on the right, and one is installed on the left.

In the pictures, it looks like a masterful job.

I blowed up the photos on ebay and you are correct about the axle housings spacings, But they are bolted together not welded. I have seen a (B) widen out bolting a R/H axle housing to to L/H side. I talked to the man that done it. The axle had to be lenghtened, But the housing bolted right on with no mods. He should have listed it as a High Crop experimental that would have got it over $10,000 for sure. Ha Ha
