The length of a muffler extension is whatever it takes to make those exhaust gases go above you so that they do not bother you. This extension would be added to the pipe on top of your muffler. Armand

The length of a muffler extension is what ever it takes to get the fumes(gases) to go over your head so you don't have to breath them. Armand

The length of a muffler extension is what ever it takes to get the fumes(gases) to go over your head so you don't have to breath them. You can make your own by getting a piece of exhaust tubing that will fit over your muffler pipe. Armand
