First, check the breaker points, use some fine sandpaper and clean the contacts on the points. Check the points gap and make sure it is correct. Make sure the coil wires are good. If there is still no spark, check the condenser, replace it and see if you have spark. If not, the ignition coil may be bad. Replace it and see if there is spark. If you have a 12 volt system, make sure there is a resistor on the coil or it will burn out. Make sure your battery is charged up too.

Andy.

I would clean the points with some 320 wet or dry
and then see if it will start. If it still won't start and has no fire. You need to check for battery voltage at the coil with the points open. Should have voltage on both small terminals on the coil. No voltage here check the ignition switch. The feed wire to the switch
may be loose, broken or corroded and if there's voltage to the switch and none to the coil when in the on position. Replace the switch. Hal

One easy way to figure out where your problem is, is to hot wire it. Take a wire from the battery and hook it to the coil, ignition switch side. If you then have spark and it will run the problem is from the coil back to the battery. If it still will not run then your problem is in the distributor and you probably have bad points
