What would it take to place duals on this set up?

Charles,
Do you plan on making that a permanent setup? Two sets of cast centers will be VERY difficult to deal with if you only want duals for springtime tillage...

1. If you want the treads facing the "right" way with the duals installed, you either need to swap the rim/center combination from one side to the other, or take the tires and rims off the centers before you flip them over to be dished in. The tire/rim/center combinations are VERY heavy, especially if they're filled with fluid for ballast.

2. The tractor will be VERY narrow with the wheels dished in, even if they're slid out to the ends of the axles. You may be forced to flip the centers over after you remove the duals to get the tractor back to a stable width.

3. You will have to go through the process of blocking the tractor up and wrestling all this iron, rubber, and water around TWICE every spring.

For temporary use, I recommend snap-on duals. All you have to deal with is a tire, a rim, and four clamps. These are enough work in and of themselves, but it's a LOT less work than cast centers.
Snap on duals , you replace the nuts on four of the clamp bolts with special eye nuts. There is a spacer band that gets tack-welded to the dual rim.

PERMANENT setup if I do it. Not that I am lazy, but for flotation more than traction. No tillage, just general use in some boggy areas. Pretty heavy tractor for 13.6-38's. Also I am adding a loader and the extra tires might help traction as well as not needing ballast.

There's a set on EBay now 140192446624 probably not
the size you need, but the picture shows what the rims look like. You would also need the J bolts about a foot long, and the eyes which fasten to your wheels.

Thank you Dave. The Ebay post is for 18.4x38. Those are the "snap-on" type. I have 14.9x38 and when I buy new tires will most likely be 13.6x38. I like what georgeky said if I understand correctly. Turn the current set dished in and obtain another set of cast steel wheels and stamped steel rims and mount them dished out on the axle shaft.

Charles, you just need another set exactly like what you already have to turn one in and one out.

Several ways. I just use another set of rims, wheel dishes on mine. Turn one set dished in and the other out. They fit well. Can also use clamp on duals or hubs for stamped wheels.
