I was wondering if the transmissions and the whole rearend and gear ratio is the same in the Farmall C and the Super C. I know the Super C has the cast brake housing, and was wondering if you could swap the C and Super C brakes. I have a 4th gear bad on my Super C and want to use the back half of a C I have and put on the super C instead of switching the 4th gear out. Thanks for looking

George is absolutely correct. The band brakes are better (experienced opinion). and if It were mine I would keep the differential and make sure the next owner gets it. Whole tractors make sense. JimN

They are suppose to be the same, but I ain't so sure. My C is slower in 1st and 2nd than my SC, but faster in 3rd and 4th. They will however bolt right up. Brakes can be changed, but will require as much work as just switching the gears out. The band type brakes of the C work just as well with a lot less maitainence. If it were me I would just make the swap, and leave the band brakes on there.
