I am interested in buying a 1949 Farmall H for tractor pulling. I am on a limited budget, and was wondering if it were possible to find an H pulling carb, and if it is, how much it would cost. I am also wondering if there are any other good pulling modifications that won't cost me a fortune. Any info is appreciated.

Super h head or 300 or 350 will work and then you can use a M carburetor. You do not need to change the head.

If you are serious about pulling and have a limited budget, get a different hobby. Just my honest opinion. For pulling you do not need cubic inches, you need cubic money.

Absolutely right, Gene. A limited budget and any type of motorsports do not work together. mike

it is possible to use a Super H carb but you must also change the head and the manifold.
