Does anyone know to instal new cork that slides on fuel gauge.

I cheated. I just carefully cut the frame near the bottom. Installed the cork and soldered it nice and neat back together. I made a cork from one I got at a wine making store.
Where did you get your cork?

My Dad is going through the say thing right now. He got a NOS cork, and with the resarch hes done he is going to slid the center out, yes it will bend the spiral alittle but i know anouther guy that did it that way and it worked for him. the part were having trouble with now is making a bottom thing for the cork.

Why cant you split a piece of cork and then using fiberglass resin to hold the pieces together woulnt styroform work then coat it with the resin.
