Looking at what is suppose to be a 300 utility but there is nothing on info plate on the right side of the bellhousing. The hood and grill are red and the rest of it is yellow.

Below are some # I took off it.

Trans:360553 R3 10*4*C
Torque Tube:860486 R5 9*30*C
Engine Block:C-169 8*31*N

There is a tag riveted to the left side of dash with the #25328 stamped in it.

Also the pto looks like one off of a H mounted on a plate and bolted to a bigger hole in the back, is this normal?

Can anyone tell me what year this is and if it is a 300 utility or something that has been put together with different parts. I have never been around utility tractors to know what they are suppose to look like.

I have some pictures I will try to post later.

Sounds & looks like a well modified late 1956 I-300.

CNKS is correct. I also agree that it is probably a later engine. I"m working on my 3rd 300U and 2 of the 3 have a later engine. I suspect that a lot of the Utility tractors got a tremendous amount of use and abuse compared to their Farmall cousins by the nature of them being "utility". Just my $.02

It has been to the parts bin several times. Much of it is 350, and much of it has been modified to oblivion. If it has no TA, it could be a TA delete tractor with a trans driven PTO (this is a guess from the pictures, based on the difficulty of connecting a PTO that had the correct speed to any part of a TA equipped tractor. Many parts of the FH are either removed, or it also was transplanted. JimN

It's a 300...maybe a late one or as he said it may have a 350 engine. I would have to crawl up under it and see how the wishbone is mounted. It definately has a 300 lift on it.
It has a non-live PTO like the old H.
I think ya got a 300

C casting codes are from 1957 which make it a 350. But the 350 had a C175 engine, 300 had a C169. An N code makes the engine 10 years newer than the tractor, provided IH was still using that code. Could be a replacement.
