On average, how many discs are on each row of a given width plow? When you guys are talking about a 10 Ft Plow or a 16 Ft Plow how many discs are on these to compare apples to apples?

Thanks,

Joe

PS. I just bought the disc that I posed the question on in the Implement Alley forum because I got a good deal on it from a friend of a friend. I still really dont know the details on it since JD doesnt seem to know anything about a product they made, lol! I will be picking it up this weekend.

Can't tell about any but the ones I own . They have 9" spacing front and rear . My Oliver was available with 7-1/2" spacing . I also have a 12' krause , model is unknown . I have a manual for a IH 480 that shows the same spacings ( 7-1/2 and 9 inch ) . The Oliver manual shows 44 disc's for a 16'4" disk with 9" spacing and 52 with 7-1/2" . 10'4" disk has 32 blades at 7-1/2" spacing , with 32 blades at 9" spacing it took it out to 12'2" . Hope this helps . ...Randy

If that disc really is a TW as Silver Pig says, you have WAY too much disc for a 656. I have a 24 disc TWA (later version of the TW) and it is a load for an 856. PS The only marking on mine that identifies it as a TWA is an almost gone decal on the front of the main frame.
