Would a 1948 Super A have used a "Curved Hanger Design" or a "Bent Shaft Design" in 1948?

What would have been the color choices in 1948? I see they come in several solid colors as well as white with the HI logo.

Gene,

I had noticed in some of the rides where the hanging type might not be to stable.

I was looking at the umbrellas at Heritage Farm Power but they are rather proud of their umbrellas.

I guess now I will lean more toward the straight pole with the parasol.

Do you have a url for the place in BOURBON IND you mentioned?

I found an original umbrella mounting bracket. It came off a 1948 or 1949 Super A. I looked for one for six months and just happaned to find this one by chance when I was picking up a field cultivator. The guy didnt even know what it was for.

In 1948 the umbrellas were almost 100% straight shaft. I have them on mine make my brackets fot them and they work good. The hanging types are not to stable in the wind although there is one type that holds up good. People have trouble during the rides we go on.as wind load gets important.

Can"t answer but there is a company in Belton, MO that sells them for vintage tractors. They advertise in the Farm Collector magazine and the gal working there can tell you. I got one for my 37 Allis there and she is pretty good. She also sells the stands, both styles.
