Has anyone got a good h block for sale or know where I can get one.Mine is a 1951 and it is busted between #2 and #3 cyl.I am also curious that if we are going to put new sleeves in it, could we weld it after the old sleeves are removed and bore it for the new sleeves.has anyone out there done this and if so, how did it turn out? Thanks, Kenny

If the crack is into both sleeve bores, I would replace it. The block would need to be bored for repair sleeves (much thicker) then rebored to allow the thin dry sleeves to be installed. It would still be cracked, and probably serviceable, but somewhat risky as the coolant would be contacting the new repair sleeve, and cracks propagate with time to other places. The cost would also be near, or more than a good used bare block. (I would find a bare block. JimN

I have bare block from an H but I don't know for sure whether there are any cracks in it, I would have to have it checked out.
