You can probably find one right here on YT. Otherwise any Tisco or A&I dealer can get you one. The aftermarket reproductions are very good quality and authentic.

No, they are not the same. Strangely enough, the H's PTO shield is a few inches LONGER!

For the PTO to work without chattering too much on corners, the tip of the PTO shaft and the hole in the drawbar need to be a certain distance apart. Also, the hole in the drawbar needs to be a certain distance from the axle so the implement doesn't hit the tractor's tires. An H's rear end housing is smaller, so to make that all happen, the PTO shaft sticks out of the back of the tractor more than on an M.

If you use an M's PTO shield, it won't cover the whole shaft on an H.

So is the shaft itself longer or does the housing stick out farther?

Glenn

So does anybody have the measurements of the shields so when I search for one I will be sure to get the correct one for an H? What is the length of the H shield vs. the M shield?

The difference is the length of the mounting tabs. If you get one for an M you will have to lenghthen the tabs to fit your H.

A salvage yard should have one to fit your H. OEM has them for about $64.00.

They are not the same. A good fabricator cold make a go of it, but an original is better. JimN
