My son just picked up a 440 IH baler that looks as if it has had very little use. How good were these balers and what years they made?
Also, does anyone have a manual they would sell for it?
Thanks, Richard

Richard, Bought one new in 1976, It has baled between 15 and 25 thousand bales per year since. Very good baler, ties great, makes exceptionaly uniform evenly packed bales. Good luck, Chuck

Richard

I bought a 440 wire tie last year that was used ALOT it took me a couple of times to get the dust knocked off of it and the bugs worked out but the last time I used it it make over 2000 bales and only missed a few when it went to a new spool of wire. The guy I bought it from still had the book but there is a 1-800# in the back and a address to get a new book also my IH dealer told me he could get me one you may check there first. if not I will post that 800 #

Mark
