A friend of mine has a distributor from a 330 and he "s planning on throwing it in the garbage. Will it fit on my M?

I-330 Distributor (Code AE): Total advance: 25 degrees.
Farmall M Distributor (Code A): Total advance: 40 degrees.

Yes, more than likely not the right advance for an M. There was a nice article on the differences between distributors in Red Power last year. Explained why the distributor Dad got from my uncle made the M run like kah-kah.

It will fit but prob not the right timming curve for the M, Dont throw it away.

Mike, I think you nailed it. It could probably be "re-curved" with some different weights and springs.

I think it would fit, does it look like the one on your M? If he is throwing it in the garbage, get it from him and if it does not fit the M, sell it and make some money on it! :)

Can't say for sure, but I think so. In any event, DO NOT let him throw it in the garbage.
