Had my harness burn up on a International 284 gas tractor. I got a new harness (not cheap) and installed it-but I now find that the switch melted as well--Dealer wants over 100 for the switch!!! Its a simple 6 wire switch with a pigtail--would anyone have info on what the individual wires are for??? Seems I should be able to wire a universal switch for slightly less than that? I"ve got an ad post in the wanted sections as well-thank in advance

Ok then its the battery voltage that burned up--But armed with that I should be able to put a Painless switch in there-even if I did nothing but make it start and run--Oh and there is that saving over a hundred bucks-thanks a million

Center post is battery voltage.

7 o'clock is ignition run
11 o'clock is ignition cranking bypass
2 o'clock is neutral safety switch/starter solenoid
5 o'clock is accessory to the #2 fuse at the fuseblock.
