OK, this is my first attempt at posting a picture, so if it ain't there, you can call me names. Assuming it comes through, it's a '43 and still has the original paint, which is in pretty good shape. It runs very good, and I have an old No. 31 Power Loader on which I adapted a 6-foot blade for clearing my lane of the dreaded snow. I also committed the crime of going 12-volt, but at least now it starts really easy even in the coldest weather (THAT makes me smile) and has lights! I bought this 10 years ago, right after we moved back into the country from the evil city life. This photo was taken October '07.

Dan, I saw your 1943 H in the Tractor Photos. Great tractor. I have a 1943 H too, serial# FBH-133801. I finished the restoration a few months back. It starts and runs excellent and Yesterday's Tractors has been a big help in finding parts and answers to my questions. I have a IH #30 loader with a manure bucket and a snow bucket for my H that I have not used yet, I hope to soon. I also have a IHC sickle mower that I will use to mow in the spring. The Farmall H is a great tractor and I like them better than any other tractor made. I'm 15 and I also have 2 other tractors, I've got a 1949 John Deere A, a 1938 F-20 Farmall and my 43 H. I love to restore and fix up old tractors, it is a lot of fun! Here are two pictures of my 1943 H, one before and one after. It is nice to see other people with a H the same year as mine!

Andy.

Great looking H, Andy! Mine'll look that good some day, but for now it's in such good condition I'm in no hurry to start on it (I have a BN to do, first). I love how the H starts and runs in any kinda weather, and pushes snow like nobody's business. Snow pushing is really the reason I went with a 12-volt conversion. I can't afford to get hung up in the lane, and have trouble re-starting. I'm such a pessimist!! Here's another pic.

Very nice, Dan. What size are your rear tires? Also, what width are your rims - 10"?, 11"?, 12"? They look nice.

Mike, tires are 13.8. I think they're on standard sized rims. I couldn't believe the condition of them when I bought the tractor. Only real work I've had to do, beside the 12-volt conversion (which isn't "real" work, anyway) is rebuild the hydraulic pump. A good parts manual was all I really needed, and some help from a brother. When some of you guys post a picture on the discussion forum, it pops up in the actual message posting, not as a URL like mine did. I gotta figure out how to do that.

Yeah, just like that. Guess what I found -- the advanced posting tools. That's how observant I am! Anyway, I tried again with another photo! AND IT WORKED!!!
