Removed the breaker ignition today and installed the Pertronix Electronic ignition along with a new Pertronix coil. The new coil is larger in diameter than the old, should have ordered a new bracket; will order next week.

Went in real easy following the instructions that it came with. Also opened the plug gaps to .040".

Don"t have a real load to put behind it to test, but it does seem to have more ommpf than before. Have a steep grade in the drive that I was able to climb in 5th with T/A back. Don"t think that I could have done that before the change.

Good job! I've been down that road 3 times now. Who would have thought you could have a 50 yr old tractor with elec ignition? I suggest you set the timing and note: it really is OK to open the plugs to 0.045".
