Does anybody know when replacing the throw-out bearing on a C if the bearing should press on to the casting that it rides on or should it be a slip fit or does it really Matter? The old bearing on mine pressed off, but the new one is just a "good" slip fit. Is that the way it should be? Or Should it press? Is there much clearance between it and the fingers on the clutch for it to fall off the diameter? (there is a relief diameter all the way up to the diameter the bearing seats on, for roughly 3/16". Thanks everybody for your input.-Andy

I agree with the others, It should not move on its own from viabration etc. I would use locktite stud and bearing mount juice on it to prevent possible issues. Clean it well with a brake clean type cleaner to make nice adheasion. JimN

There is just slight resistance when pushing the bearing on, it"s a snug fit, Just not a press fit.

it shouldn"t be loose enough that it may slide and ride on the pressure plate levers. Does it slide up and down on it"s own or is there some resistance when putting it on?
