I came across a pair of 8 inch rear hub extensions or spacers for a Farmall Cub. Were these made by I.H. as an option or an aftermarket item? These just bolt on to the hub and then the wheel is mounted on to the outside. Sorry if this a "should know it question" but didn't have any exposures to the Cub in my early days in Iowa. Thanks

If they are IH part #: 355 066 R1 they are worth a number of dollars. There are also recent after market extensions available.

You can also put a set of duals on your Cub with a set.

Thanks, I went and cleaned up the hub extensions this a.m and they are the numbers you listed. They are 6 inch not 8 as I said yesterday. Guess I'll decide what to do with them, maybe put duals on a Cub? Migraine

Actually, 8" extensions would be for the "high-clearance" option package.

As I understand it, the high clearance package is really high and WIDE. The front end is replaced with a unit that has a wider range of adjustment. Those wheel spacers are added. 15" front tires, and 36" rear tires complete the conversion.

Sounds interesting as to why you would need them when the rear is adjustable unless you would need a wider wheel tread.

They are not extentions but an OEM option for installing rear duals.
