Does anyone have a part number for an external ballast resistor, I have a C I converted to 12 V, and the one my Case dealer sold me was wrong.

Here are the part numbers on the ballast resistor
and on the 12 volt coil with the builtin resistor.

I would go with the coil IC14SB for about $15.00. Hal
ECHICR13 on the resistor

I took the $4 option last spring when I converted my tractor to 12 volt. I'm saving the more expensive solution until I need it.

I have to agree with Fancy Farm if your gonna convert just convert to the 12v coil will save ya the headache down the road for when the resistor goes out.

stop over at a napa auto parts store, have them get you a ballast resistor for an early 1970's chrysler b body. it is a real nice ceramic resistor, cost maybe 4-5 dollars. has a single mount bolt in the center.

For what it is worth you can get an internally resisted 12 volt coil at napa and not use a external resistor.
