After the 5 digit serial # on my 1964 504 Farmall are the following numbers/letters: W4-FF Does anyone know what this sequence stands for? Also above the serial # is the letter D. Since it is a diesel I am assuming that is what the D stands for. Can anyone tell me for sure?

Thanks for the information. My dad and I are starting to rebuild this tractor. It is my grandfather's and he used it for many years on the family farm. I am new to this forum, I figured it would be a good place to ask questions and learn. Thanks for your response.
