1970, International Farmall 544 Deisel, rowcrop, hydro. Also how many of my type of 544's were made during its entire run. Reason I am asking is part curiosity, and also because I cant ever answer people that have never seen one and think they are super rare. I just want to give them a matter of fact, how many IH farmall rowcrop 544 deisel hydro's are out there.

Ask the question on the site in the link. Ken Updike, aka Bermuda Ken, frequents that site and may have the answer. You will have to register to post a question, though.

Compared to other tractors... not that many.

We have a 544 Farmall gas gear drive with a shuttle - no TA. Never heard of another one with a shuttle shift yet.

This is what TractorData gives for serial numbers:

1968: 10250 (IH)
1969: 12699 (IH)
1970: 14589 (IH)
1971: 16018 (IH)
1972: 16838 (IH)
1973: 17341 (IH)
1968: 10250 (Farmall)
1969: 12541 (Farmall)
1970: 13585 (Farmall)
1971: 14507 (Farmall)
1972: 15262 (Farmall)
1973: 15738 (Farmall)
Assuming around 1000 IH (utility) were built the last year, that would make for around 8091 total.

Assuming they made 500 of the Farmall the last year, that would make for around 5988 total.

Also, considering the available options in transmissions (gear drive TA, gear drive shuttle, hydro) and gas or diesel option for engine I would say that a diesel rowcrop hydro is fairly rare.

*soapbox* Imagine that, a tractor FAR more useful than a SMTA that is also MUCH more rare! */soapbox*
