I have a farmall bn that I use to run a buzz saw to cut firewood. The tractor will start and run fine until it gets warmed up. Then it starts to run rough and will eventually stall out. I have cleaned the sediment bowl and the valve that comes from the gas tank so I think I have good gas flow. Any idea what else I could look at?

This tractor doesn't appear to have a coil at least not the kind that is on my AC WD. I think there is a magneto. Would there also be a coil? If so what would it look like?
I cut wood with the tractor again today. It ran like new for the first five minutes, then started to run rough again. I ran it that way for about an hour. I think the saw acted like a fly wheel and kept it running. As soon as I disengaged the saw, the tractor stalled out. I checked the carburetor drain plug and there was still plenty of gas that ran out.
I took off the distributor cap and sanded all the contact points, and the rotor. I took off the sediment bowl and cleaned it. There was some rust in it and one piece in the fitting that comes out of the tank. I cleaned them all out but it still ran rough and finally stalled out again.

I had what sounds like the same thing with my H. Replaced coil, cleaned all electrical connections and it was good as new. Parts stores here keep 6v coils in stock, and they are pretty cheap. Easy enough to just swap it out and see if that fixes it.

Sounds like a classic coil issue.

As soon as it dies take the bottom plug out of the carb and check the flow could be that the hole in the top of the sediment bowl has some junk and sometimes it will slow or stop the gas flow enough for the engine to die.

I had similar symptoms once that turned out to be a bad distributer cap.

Warmed up then run ruff and die sounds like you have a coil going bad. Start it up and the moment it dies check for a good white/blue spark if it doesn't have that type of spark then most likely the coil is going bad. Also look at the coil the bottom of it should be flat but if its pushed out then thats a sign of it going. Another thing touch the coil the moment it dies if its to hot to hold for more then a few seconds then that also says bad
