Where at in Texas did you find it? I know where there is/was one that wasn't stuck, but hadn't been run in many years. Only things it needed were rear tires due to the weather cracked condition they were in and possibly a clutch and brake bands. This one is in Hill County, and the owners of the estate were undecided on what they were going to sell, keep, and what prices they were going to put on the stuff that was there.

"Only things it needed were rear tires "

Not meaning to be a smart aleck, but have you priced tires lately? In my book when I shop tractors...bad tires = big discount. I think $150 is too low but $3-400 might be in the ballpark. Look at the value of one with good tires, nice (but not new)paint, and running....then subtract what it needs.

Hi Dave, I was going on the fact he had said it was pretty much sitting outside for years, was probably stuck, and considering the fact they have a weak spot behind the manifold could have a broke block. In the end I guess it all depends how bad you "need" the parts. Give him scrap price and don"t charge him for hauling it off. Charles

In my opinion, any of the small letter series tractors with a stuck engine is not worth more than 2-300 dollrs, tops.

I'd offer 150 bucks if the block isn't cracked.
