Have an 806 non-turbo and I would like to put a crome pipe on it, but muffle the sound some how. Would a muffler eliminator work or would it be too hot under the hood for the paint. Maybe it won't work. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

Nate

I don"t think that a muffler elimantor will fit on the 06 tractor (not enough room under the hood) Once in awhile we run a straight pipe on our 756 Diesel and it is actually quite annoying espiecally when you start to work it hard. We run a round muffler on our 756 because the oval one would always break the weld on the base of the muffler case no matter how many times it was welded. The round one is louder than an oval one but less annoying than an straight pipe.

If im not mistaken the muffler is above the hood just like a 56 series. A muffler eliminatior is like for the 86 series where the muffler was under the hood, which i dont know if there would be enough room to fit a muffler under the hood. I have a friend that runs a straight pipe on his non-turbo 4020 and it really is surprisingly quite.
