Hi: Anyone know if the hood side mounted lights are special for the 706? My tractor is missing the lights and the mounting holders look like the lights might not be your average Farmall light? Thanks for any help! Mark R.

Most all tractors sold in the South during that era were sold without fenders and the side cowl lights were the standard lights.

The side style are larger (roughly an inch) with a different type mount.

Those lights were used on the 706 and 806 until the flat-top fenders came out in 1965. They were also used on later 06 series and 56 series tractors that were ordered without flat-top fenders, such as a stripped-down bare bones tractor or some of the early cab tractors. They are a larger light than what would be found in a flat-top fender.
