Ok all you educated folks...need a little help here.
Brought in another 300U for parts last night. Man told me to get the darn thing out of his way.
Typical old tractor...motor stuck from setting in a corn crib, rotten tires, seat rotted off but it's all there...no missing parts. You know the drill. But it has a good set of split Utility rear wheel weights and a power sterring unit so I brought it home. When I got it in the light...I started seeing differences than the rest of the herd.
The PTO rear cover is flat. Looks like the PTO comes out of a flat plate with bolts. The others have what looks like a ring around the PTO shaft plate. The fast hitch is totally different than the other 300/350U tractors I have...and I have a mess of them. The top of it has an arm that comes up fron the bottom and looks different than the lift on the others. I know the 350Us are totally different...but this thing is strange looking. It looks much stronger...the metal is much thicker and heavier.
The thing has 6 control valves on it...one for the fast hitch and 5 more. I thought 3 was the limit.
It has a much bigger hyd pump on it.
The clutch linkage is totally different that the other tractors...both 300 and 350Us. Looks strange.
Now...all the parts have IH on them so I know they are not after market...but what do I have?
Could it be an industrial version? It's red...but I thought they were all the same.
Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

Only thing that comes to mind is your pto has the regular or row crop rear cover and the rest have the rear cover that a belt pulley gear box can bolt to. If the pump mounts on the engine I don't know of a bigger one, so wonder if someone may have installed a aftermarket pump. Where does the ports on pump exit, up, down, or other? Need more info about hitch. If you have 300 and 350U you should have 2 types of hitches already. Are you saying the hitch is different from the 2?

As Wardner said get a parts book, or look at the diagrams on www.caseih.com. You will probably be surprised at the options. I have a 460U, the 350U replacement -- there is a 3 point option for the industrial, which do have differences. But, I don't have a 300/350U, you have several --

I can't help

If you have so many 300-350 utilities, I am surprised you don't have a parts book. One book probably covers both models and all the various attachments.

Yes...I have a parts book...but this junk is not in there.
The pictures look about the same...but more like the others I have.
The pump is much bigger. The distrubator sets back a little farther from the front of the engine and the hyd lines are shorter.
Yes...I do have a herd of utilities...more than a sane person would want...but I cannot pass the darn things up if the price is right...and I hate scrap yards. Heck...one of you guys may need something I have no use for one day.
Dad had both 300s and 350s when I was a kid. That and a Super MTA Diesel were his main tractors when I was young. Maybe I will get the other half to help me this weekend and I can post some pictures for you. Sure caught me off guard because I thought I knew all about this Red stuff.
