I have an old C113 engine off a baler from the 50's I think. There was antifreeze in the oil, but the engine was not run with it in there. I bought it thinking it was parts for a newer (404) international, but it is much older. As far as I know, it could easily be used for parts at the very least. What tractors will this fit? I know the block is different at the bell housing area due to a notch for the starter, but the rest should swap. It has already been fixed (did a nearly invisible job) due to a freezing block, and dosen't leak there. I have no use for in presently, but maybe a tractor could come along??? Any advice or info would be appreciated. (not a Farmall expert). Thanks.

I think you'll find it does have the opening for the hydraulic pump. And are you sure it is 113, most of the balers I have seen used the 123CI motor. Also it can be used on a C,A with a little modification where the notch for the starter goes. A friend just installed one on a SA, ya have to look really close to see the modification.

Kieth, most balers used C-60 or C-113. The 123 didn't come out until 51. I have 2 113's from balers, and neither will accept the hydraulic pump. Later balers may have used 123's

Hi George, According to my Borg Warner manual the C123 was used on the baler models 37, 47 and was used on some of the 50 models too. I think they put in what was available since they used a lot of Wisconsin engines too. Hal

Yep, but they were after 51. I was just saying that not all balers used a 123. The older ones used C-60 and C-113 as there wasn't a 123 yet. Yes the 123 would accept hydraulic pumps.

I think the C113 is used in the Farmall A, there is also a C113 that fits in the F-12 Farmall.

If it doesn't have the opening for hydraulic pump, it will work on A and B. The vast majority of C's had hydraulics, so it won't work for the C in most cases. 404 uses C-135. C113,C-123, C-135 and C-153 will also work in the 404.

I think you will find the c113 will fit the Farmall A, B or C with no hydraulics. Double check the ring gear as you may have to use the one from the tractor.
