Is there a good reference anywhere for rebuilding these? I assume I need to set the float level etc. like a car carb. Most of the rebuild kits I see are just a bad of parts and they don't look like they have any instructions. Wanted to ask before I tear it down. At least the float level.

As a general rule of thumb, floats in most carburetors set level with the top of the carb when the carb is inverted and the needle and seat are seated. Even if it is not exactly correct, it"s a good starting point. Brian

Most all carb. kits come with all the settings you need, float level, idle screw adjustment, idle fuel adjustment, and load fuel adjustment. I've rebuilt around 20 of these with kits bought off of E-bay. Brent
