When someone says they won't be back because of a sarcastic answer from someone else that upsets me. We post on this website for help not to be put down. We all lose when this happens.

I doubt it, whoever the gods are. I always claim, say what you think, it's your opinion and you have every right to it. Lot better than the YES-MEN we have around.

Now I get it, the All seeing, All knowing Wizard now has a license to be a smart A$$ with a newbie that made the fatal mistake of posting a question twice. I hope that I never do something that stupid and wind up being shunned from this community!

Kid: If you intend to take part in a public forum, sooner or later someone is going to say something you don't like.

The down side of this forum, is folks are allowed to hide their e addresses. I don't agree with that policy, but I don't make the policy. If no one were allowed to hide e addresses, then disagreements could be settled in private.

I personally don't believe one should be allowed to hide their e mail if they wish to make a public statment, and posting on YT forums is a public statment.

Hugh: I tend to agree with CNKS. I was involved in the first thread when Josh asked about installing a Fisher plow on his Super C. He got the very best advice the could be offered and what's more the best of it came from Wardner in my opinion.

For Josh to turn around two days later asking the exact same question, is little more than an insult to those who responded on the first thread. If he had been getting into exact particulars on adapting the Fisher control valve to the SC touch control, I could understand. Personally I thought he didn't deserve anymore help, Wardner must have thought he deserved a lecture, and I can side with that as well.

I agree 100% we can all learn from him. He seems to have more knowledge
about tractors than most of us will ever have. I always read his posts. But...the sarcasm is not necessary.

It really wasn't sarcasm -- he just told the guy to go out and get to work. Some people want every last detail before they start -- you learn by doing, and he had good advice to begin with.

I have been on this forum since 1999. Seen all kinds of posters, some are rather caustic, some can't take any criticism at all. Wardner has a lot of experience and a lot of good information. He has fabricated many pieces of equipment and is very good at it. He goes slightly overboard occasionally, but has more good points than bad. If people spend enough time on this forum, they will begin to understand the the "personalities" of those posting, and won't take offense at the minor put downs that people such as Wardner use sometimes. If they pack up and go home over something as minor as that, they are missing out on a lot of good future information. I had to read this post twice to see what the complaint was -- Wardner told him what to do.

Good call Hugh. My "leak" situation awhile back brought much helpful advice to get me through my trouble. The exception was a sarcastic comment that I overlooked for all of the positive support. My patience for "old iron" renewed and not a 4X4 sitting anywhere in my drive. I hope there are none lost because of the bitterness of one.

Amen Hugh
Must be a bad case of cabin fever setting in.
I hope that the rest of the winter is not like this. I will probably get creamed for this reply but oh well.
