Loader on an F-12?

I posted this question yesterday but it went to page two before anyone had a chance to answer it. Did people often put a manure loader on an F-12? If so, how well did it work on that little tractor?

Thanks, Glenn F.

No, I have not seen a successful loader on a f-12. The f-12 is a very light tractor and putting a loader on them makes the tractor way too front heavy--the rear end would be light and have little traction and the front would sink into the ground. They are great tractors if your implements are hitched up in a way to put weight on the rear end; if not you end up spinning your wheels. I have several f-12/14's and love them all!

Friend of mine has a belt-driven loader for that style of tractor. No hydraulics- had to be a treat to operate. Common? No - most people barely had tractors, much less loaders back then.

I have never seen one personally. Not to say it had never been done. I suppose if you made a smaller one it would work, but the hydraulics would be a problem. The liftall on an F-12 isn"t real strong and there are no ports for hoses if I remember right. It would have to be rigged up with cables or another type pump like one that would drive off the PTO or belt pulley shaft.
