Can anyone suggest a kit to convert my 856 IH 2-point to a 3-point? I have seen a few, I just cannot tell which one to trust.
Thank you

simple way is to get the offset adapter tongs, a top link and a top link attatchment plate. the plate would have to come off a salvage tractor, but everything else is available from many sources, such as yt or your local farm store.

If you don't want to use the two point again the best way is visit a salvage yard and buy a complete factory three point hitch off another tractor and bolt it on. A three point set up usally runs about $500 at most yards.

You should be able to get 2pt to 3pt adapters at a CIH dealer or whatever they go by now. Also you will need a bracket for the top link.I had 1 set for cat2 and one set for cat1. Mine were for a 706. Mabe the 856 is cat.3,I dont know.
