The original subject was "IH fast hitch".

I just bought a super C with fast hitch and adaptors to 3-pt. It came with a fast hitch belly mount grader. It seems like a good system.

Question: Is the 53 Super C fast hitch a different size than a larger tractor size. (Is fast hitch sized like 3-pt. is: cat I Cat II...) Or are all two point impliments ok for my super C if it will pull them.

Glennster, The Super C thru 230 only have small points. When the 240 came out , IH went to large points on it. All the 40 and 60 series had the large points. Probably a manufacturing cost decision because by that time fast hitch was not selling as IH had hoped, and it was somewhat a duplication to make both sizes, I suspect. Mark

Glenn, if your 240 has small points, it came from a 230. 240's, and all others after that came with the 3 inch fast hitch sockets.

looks like there are at least 2 sizes of the 2 point hitches. the c thru 240 take a cat 1 hitch the prongs are 2-1/2 inch high, the cat2 for the 300 on up are 3 inches high.

The width is the same form the Super C to 300, 400, etc but they are diffrent thicknesses. You can use smaller 2 point on the larger ones by adding shims, but not the other was around. SC, 200, 230, 240 are all the same 300, 350, 400, 450 are the larger size.
