I got an early Christmas present this week when the new Fastline came in the mail. My brother's 1256 that I painted made the front cover of the magazine. I realize that Fastline has several different editions throughout the US but it is still pretty cool. I posted some pictures of it on here in Oct this year after I painted it. I will have to post a picture of it on the cover now.

Hey Mark, I got the fastline earlier this week and really admired that 1256. Nice job.

I just got my Fastline (ed #1 2008), but I live in eastern Kansas. It has a 48 H on the cover owned by Maurice Wessel, Maple Hill, KS. I used to know him when I worked in the Santa Fe Shops in Topeka back in the 70's.

Did the 1256 use the same DT361 engine as the 1206?

Believe the 361 engine was only used in the 06 series tractors. 56 series used the D and DT 407.
