I"ve got a 46 BN that my father in lae replaced the carbertor on...new Zenith caburetor 14007 and I was trying to figure out how the make sure it is adjusted properly. THe tractor turns over but doesn"t fire... plenty of gas... I"m going to duoble check the governor arm to make sure it"s adjusted properly but was wndering waht else it could be?

See if it will fire with starter fluid. If yes it is a carb. problem. Is the gas in the tank old? Did you clean the sediment bowl? If you remove the gas line from the carb can you get a steady stream of gasoline out the pipe? Those supply lines were bad to clog on the old farmalls especially when they would set up for a while.

I got it running today. Had to replace the throttle rod because it wouldn"t budge (and it snaped when I tried to turn the yoke). The new one let me adjust it with the governor. I had to play with the carb jets to get it to keep running. Once it started to run I could adjust the carb to let it run properly. I finally got my 8" of snow plowed!

I pulled a plug...dry..no gas. I repalced the electrical system last winter new plugs, coil, distributro cap etc.... I was going to try to make sure I had spark...and double check timing... my battery was geting low so I'm leaving charger on it

Pull a spark plug out and see if its wet from gas. If it is your problem is probably spark not the carb. Remember you need compression, spark and fuel for and engine to run. Loose any one of the 3 and it will not run
