Got rid of the old loader and spent the afternoon spraying degreaser and then hot water pressure washing for nearly 3 hours. I know its Friday and I am a little tired but this thing has gold paint underneath a thin coat of red enamel. The more I wash the more it shows, some on the dash cowling, some on the frame, the valve cover and the engine. I went and looked at my 412 gold demo plow and its a perfect match. It is a late 58 model and came from Eastern Wa. Could be some wierd primer or maybe PO liked gold. Or maybe I'm half crazy and need a quick nap? What ya think? Migraine

No, but really a neat idea to drive the correct police wild. There are enough correct 450's left to restore a custom version could be fun with disclaimer of course.

The only real national promotion I have read about was the "BRASS TACKS" promotion. But I don"t think they repainted any tractors for it...anybody else??

Hi Migraine, What is the serial number and preface, did you pick up an industrial? Or sometimes the road construction and others used ag tractors. Good luck, Chuck

No gold demonstrator 450's were made. The gold demonstrators were the 56/26 series in I think 1970.
