Hi Mark, I kept a file of problems & solutions of the 84 series tractors from replies from Bernard le mécano. Reason, my brother has 4 of these tractors and someday he is going to have some of these problems. BE CAREFULL when troubleshooting high pressure hydraulic problems.

See below for possible hydraulic solution.

Hi, may be the unload valve is stuck. Check with engine running, raise the hitch and pull the remote lever at same time . If the hitch raises, you have dirt in the unload valve. This valve is under the seat. You remove the large plug for access. One trick, loosen the large plug, unload valve, 2 turns and start the engine, the hitch should raise if the valve is stuck. It will have a small hole in the valve and just blow the dirt out with compressed air. Replace the O rings.

Yea, I got and replied to it. Maybe it went off into outer space or something. I haven't found my service manual for those. You can go to CaseIH.com and click on search for parts. When the new page comes up cilck on begin search for parts here in the lower right corner. The type in 485 in the search box. A complete schematic for those draft sensing parts is there. I will ask my buddy the IH man tomorrow about your problem as he will know more than I about it.
