I posted this at the end of my first thread about the 574 but didn't see a response so I thought I would try it on it's own.

What is a reasonable price for a 574 with a freeman loader? It has rear hydraulics and the loader is run off of the tractor not a external hydro pump.

I am having a tractor mechanic I trust check it out before I buy it. only issues I see is faded paint, a seeping leak in the area under the seat and the loader has been repaired in the bends at some point.

Thanks

Most have a bit of trouble with rust in the saddle fuel tank - clogging up lines and such, look for seepage where the fuel lines meet the tank.
Price depends on condition - how much will you likely have to put into it over the years. Good thing your mechanic is taking a look at it.

Also make sure there is no fuel leaking from between the saddle tank and the fenders, especially if it looks like it spent a lot of it's life shoveling manure. Moisture and acids get down in that seam and rot through the tank.

Check the parking brake. Usually they get left on and burned up. You can figure at least a day to replace it.

I sold a 574D with a 2000 IH loader, good rubber, new paint, good tractor for $6500 2 years ago if this will help. Good tractors, check the front casting well if had a loader on it, mine broke and had to replace it and the raditator.

Front casting? is that the area the loader attaches on?

I noticed today that the loader has arms that come all the way up the sides in the area of the grill then stop. It looks like something should have continued around the grill and attached one side to the other.
