A friend of mine has located a super M lpg and is trying to buy it. Anyone know how many were made? I believe it is factory and am going to ask him about the serial number and type of tank to confirm it's factory.

Trent, There are no real numbers as to how many SM-LPs were made. The exact number may never be known. But the total number of SMs are known. One could guess as to the number but that would be only a guess. The Stage I & IIs both had the crosswise tank. LPs were more numerious in the South, Southwestern parts of the country. Hope this helps.
Later,
John A.

The Wisc. Historical Society gave me the break out of SM-LP's, but its at my office, I'll try to get it for you. If not, contact the IH archives. Most people don't realize all the info that is actually available.
