Does anyone know which month of 46 did IH delete the Deering from the hood decal. I always thought it was August. I,m lining up the finishing items on our Club raffle tractor,a 46 H and being in the heart of IH land our tractor better be right. The casting codes are 11-12-P on all chassis castings and 11-15-P on the engine. That indicates the middle of Nov. When in production was the serial no.assigned, when the build sheet was established or were the numbers just numerically installed on the line.

1945 is when they added the IH in front of the McCormick Deering.

Guy Fay says mid-July 1949, not 1946. My dad had a late 1947 H with Deering on the decal. Can't answer your last question, but I think the serials went on last. Would be nice to have those sheets.
