Hey guys! Have been away from home at college and work so have not had a chance to get the two way valve correctly mounted on my Super H. Have however discovered it is an M&W live pump and 2-way valve. Anyway, wondering if with a live pump if I should still use SAE 30 weight engine oil as my manual recomends for the factory belley pump or if I can use regular hydraulic fluid now with the live pump? Thanks!

Most any non-detergent oil will work. My folks used to use SAE-30 in just about everything.

Detergent oils foam.

I would use Hy-Tran or hydraulic fluid of some type.

Matt SAE 30 will work in it, but hy tran, SAE 10 or AW-32 hydraulic oil will be a better choice for the winter. The AW-32 is cheaper than Hy Tran and is all you need in systems with their own resivoir. The Hy-Tran is only needed in newer tractors with wet disc brakes, that draw oil from rear end housing.

i run hy-tran in all mine, for winter use the belly pump recommendation is 10 wt motor oil. sooo, hy-tran, or its equivalent (like farm and fleet brand hi-tran ) is fine.
