We have a Farmall A. It has been overhauled completly. Every thing done that needed to be done. It runs like a bear, starts great. But has no power. We have a 60" mower on it and it will run it in real light grass. In medium or heavy grass it will not do any thing. We did hook it up to a 12' spring tooth harrow before the over haul and it pulled it. We just did that to see if it would pull it. Many thanks,,,,, ,,,,, ,Boyd

You need the gas flow at the carburetor. Remove the gas line and hold a clean container to catch the gas. See if there's just a trickle or a full stream. It its just a trickle you have blockage in the fuel line or tank. If there's a full stream check your screen for dirt or rust. Its behind the tube fitting your gas line connects to.
The carb may need cleaning too. If the fuel checks out ok your coil may be getting weak. Hal

Make sure it"s running on all cylinders. My Super A was bogging down when mowing tall grass, and I found that it was only running on 2 cylinders. Pull plug wires one at the time until you find one that doesn"t make a diggerence in how it runs. It"s a quick test, doesn"t cost anything, and will let you move on to other problems.

Sounds like it is not getting enough fuel.

What all did you do, specifically?

First off, if you did rings, pistons, bearings, etc, have you done the engine breakin yet?
Have you checked the compression after the overhaul?

Is the timing set properly?

Carburetor too lean?

Really, I expect this to be a governor problem. Either it's not adjusted right or it's not working at all. Low compression engines don't start "great" or run like "a bear."
