We are starting to put the H back together. After removing the farm engineered generator from the carb side of the engine and locating it back up on the head on the mag side with a different generator from a different H the pulleys do not match up. Can someone send me a picture of the belt and pulley setup for a Distillate H. Also what are the setup carb settings for this tractor?

Your fan should have a double pulley - one belt to the crankshaft and one belt from fan to generator...

I know that some early H's didn't have the double pulley...

Randy Thanks for the pictures that helps a lot!!!! The front of my engine has a different pulley setup. Looks like it runs off of one belt. This tractor is not mine I rebuilding the engine and painting it for a gentlemen.

Gene send me an e-mail of the price of the pulleys that you have so I can give him a heads up as to the cost. Knowing him he will just want me to fabricate a new bracket to make the generator work. Right wrong or indifferent don’t kill the messenger.

I did not think that the generator set-up on a Distallate/Kerosene H was any different from the Gasoline H.

Correct. All H and M generators install the same, with the same mounting brackets.

Do you have the adjustable pulley or has another pulley been used. I have some adj pulleys in great shape
