went finally and picked up the 240 today.turns out its a utility. runs good, has some issues, electrical, few oil drips here and there, couple dings and bangs, but its a good runner, got good tires, came with bush hog and rear blade. even got the owner manual and origional bill of sale. does need brakes tho. seller just didnt want it anymore, didnt want to put any more money in it. heres some pics.

thats a super deal!!! the blade alone is worth that. blade looks like a ih#1 if it has the sawtooth swing arrangement on the vertical column same as i can see on the horizontal tilt adjustment. dad had a #1 blade we wore out scraping the freestall.

I had to give $190.00 for a blade like that at an auction about ten years ago. I've never seen another one outside of your's and one on e-bay. That's a nice load for 300 bucks. Jim

Glenn, I'm not sure if you know, but theft is a crime in America. You should be ashamed!

glennster, you lucky dog you! By your statement I am curious how long you waited? Green grass tells me you won't need the radiator covered. We in Wisc. are braced for 5-10" of snow and some areas could receive 1/2" of ice on top. Looks like you have full gauges and lower dash controls. Did someone remove or didn't this utility have any hydra-touch? I had one someone aborted and put a Rube-Goldburg nightmare on for loader controls. Corner horizontal trim pieces in place so you just need to spend about $1800 for the two side trim pieces and then other yters won't feel so jealous - Norwegian drooling here. Enjoy your tractor and implements, also thanks for sharing some good pictures w/us!

guy i bought it from went hunting for a couple weeks. he got back this week, it was buried in tha back of his barn, took him a while to dig it out. he called me today and said come get it. its been farmerized a little. the control for the fast hitch seems broke off. there is a rod sticking thru a hole in the dash to run the 2 point. most of the gauges dont work, there is a constant drain on the battery, so the cable must be disconnected when you shut er off. 6v pos ground.. manual says its a 1961 utility. rear pto lever is kinda odd, has 2L N 2H on the knob i think it is off something else and was grafted on here. also has an 8 ball shifter knob. i am gonna spend some time figuring this little rascal out. it seems like its a standard version of a super c, have ta get some tools out!!

Shoot form the looks of it you payed for a rear tire and got the rest for free. You could probably put a couple 100 in it and then sell it for $2000-3000
