ya know, i went back and looked at pictures of that rascal. 10 g prolly aint too bad a price. they got a ton of money in that thing. custom trailer, maybe 2-3 g, new tires, 600 rear, 125 front, hydraulic drive system, engine, motors ect????maybe couple grand, paint decals ect, plus fabrication of the grill unit. wonder what they really got in it.

I bet they have more in it than they wanted to spend at the start. But it looks like they did a real nice job of it though.

Beyond interesting... that would be down right cool!

Of course you would have to face the wrath of the people in here seem to think a tractor doing anything but working as a tractor is an abomination. Me? I think these machines look great, and whether guarding a barn for their remaining years, out plowing a field, or delighting crowds as a novelty engineering piece, they uphold their lasting presence.

I think there are going to be games played with the trailer. It is shown in two pictures but no mention was made in the title or text.

I, too, never put in my serious bid until the final seconds as well. It is called "sniping" and I am a fairly decent sniper. eBay's new countdown will help out us snipers so we don't have to sit there with a stop watch and sweaty brow trying to hit "bid" in the final 2 seconds!

As for the trailer, he responded to my question and said that yes, the trailer is included in the sale - still too rich for my blood, though.

I do like that trailer. I want the lightest one I can get for my H. That looks like a good contender. I'd like to keep the whole package at 4500 pounds.

That H Smoker begs the question "What else could be built from a junkyard tractor"?

Back in the '30s thru '50s Bucyrus-Erie and Bay City both took complete tractors, minus all the tires and front lower bolster, and built 3/4 swing tracked shovels and backhoes around them. We have also seen forklifts and graders.

But these aren't consumer items. I was thinking a paddlewheel boat might be interesting.

Mike, I never play my hand at eBay until the last ten seconds.

It is too rich for me. At this price, it could be mfdg for alot less. The trailer by itself has significant value. Light weight with a low center of gravity is just the ticket for hauling tractors.

I think there are going to be games played with the trailer. It is shown in two pictures but no mention was made in the title or text. Some smuck from Maine or Washington is probably going to arrive in Dallas without a trailer and be forced to buy the one shown. I emailed the seller about the trailer and he did not respond to the question.

Too bad. it was a nice looking tractor to have such a sad ending. At least hopefully someone may enjoyit--maybe!
