I saw the pictures on your website of the H belly pump removal and replacing the seals. I have now removed the belly pump from my tractor (1951 H), and have taken off the front cover. I have drained all the oil, but i still need to take off the drive dog for the pump that connects to the shaft. How do i take this off? in your pictures it looks like you used a pry bar...and after you take that off, can you just slide the seal in? Thanks. i"m new to this and don"t want to break more stuff ;)

You just need something "jam" the gears to keep them from turning, the pry bar just happened to fit the slot. Anything should work. I gave the drive dog a sharp rap with the hammer counter clockwise and it came loose easily.

You just need to use common sense, and not over do the force as you could break a tooth off of the gear if you banged to hard.

Pry the seal out & make note if there is a wear groove on the drive dog, you may be able to put the new seal in a different position to miss the groove if there is one.

I have a 51 H also. Replaced that seal last year. The drive dog just unscrews. I used a pipe wrench. Be sure to do the other end by the trans. It unscrews also. The seals are pressed in. I got mine at a store here that specializes in seals and bearings. Much cheaper than at the IH dealer. I think less than $4.
