The "open" decal goes above the crank to open the shutters on the plate on the steering wheel post. When I did me 40 H that is what I come up with. The be careful, or the safety first goes above the pto shield I think, I can't remember without going out to look.
Hope this helps a little, Bob

The exact placement of the all of them is too much to list on this forum -- unless someone else wants to. Get Guy Fay's letter series book from your bookstore or order from Amazon.com or BarnesandNobel.com. Binder Books might have it. As to the Farmall and H decals, the bottom of the Farmall decal is 1/2 inch above the seam in the hood, centered between the rear of the hood and the bottom of the curve (where the curve starts). The H decals are placed 1/2 inch from the curve for the distance of the curve.

I got them from Internet Tractor Supply. I have the 2 McCormick - Deering FARMALL for the sides of the hood, 2 H's for the sides of the hood,1 gear shift pattern?, 1 for the oil filter hood,1 for the air cleaner,1 that says O D B? , 1 that says open?, 1 that says LH D B for the light switch , 1 that says Safety First?, 1 that talks about the draw bar?, 1 that says BE CAREFUL about short turns?. The decals with ? are the ones I am in question about.

The short turns one doesnt really go on there, but most put it on the battery box,the drawbar on goes centered about an inch below the lip of the seat on the rear.Safety first, the black one with the cross, goes about 1/4" below the tranny cover top on the rear above the pto.ODB was mentioned. The gear shift goes on the tank, centered 18 1/2" from where the tank meets the hood. Guys book doesnt have the H, unless it was added after publishing,or I bought mine, but the Super H is pretty close, with the basic decals, more were on the Super H than the H.

I can help some. (I spent many hours driving an "M" as I was growing up) The gear shift pattern goes on the top rear area of the gas tank on the centerline. The O D B is for the light switch if you have a voltage regulator on the generator (means Off, Dim, Bright). If you have a cutout on the generator then you use the L H D B (means Low charge, High charge, Dim, Bright) on the light switch. You don"t need both of those and you should be able to tell which one you need by the number of positions on the light switch (3 or 4). I"ve seen the others you have ? after, but I"ve forgotten exactly where they are placed.

Have you bought new decals already? Seems that the decal provider should include a placement diagram.

You could look in the tractor photos gallery to the left on this site. Search for Farmall H and that should give you some clues.
