The sleeves won't budge. I even have a bottle jack mounted in the crankcase against a plate bolted to the bottom of the engine and the sleeves will not budge. Any suggestions?

Scott,They will come out with the right equiptment,Ive got 6 F series tractors and they all come out a little tight. Dont beat or destroy your parts take it to a shope that has a large press or borrow a good sleeve puller from a tractor dealer.Parts can become expensive.Keep in mind these motors are easy to work on and are very forgiving, you might be better of to just do a inframe rebuild than to invest a lot of money

On my F-12 I used a 10T bottle jack to no avail.

Out of desperation I inverted the block & placed a oak block across the sleeve end. Then took a 20lb piece of shafting and started pounding. All four sleeves bumped out easily. The rapping apparent works better. I was worried about cracking the top deck or the lower web, but turned out OK. Should work with a 16lb hammer too.

HTH. Kevin

Why are you removing them? Leave them in and make repairs as needed.

The engine is being hot tanked which will destroy the O-rings.

Heat and vibration works on stubborn sleeves. Heat the sleeve up with a cutting torch, and rattle it, from the bottom, with a blunt attachment on an air chissel.

What he needs is a good heavy puller and steady even pressure. New sleeves are next to impossable to find.
