Howdy, boys. I have been searching on the CIH parts site for the number of the factory carb rebuild kit for the gasoline 400 1 1/4" carb, and cannot seem to find it. Anybody know the number? Is it the same as the Super M, #354453R91? Thanks. mike durhan

One online dealer shows 354453 R93, cost $65, for SH through 650 with all sizes between listed. Said it included shaft, needle and seat, gaskets, jets. Don't know what jets they include because some of the carburetors they list for that kit don't use the same jets. If you have a 362173 R92 carburetor the throttle shaft in most kits won't be like the original also. You can use the shaft in kit if needed though.

A genuine Case-IH carburetor rebuild kit will cost more like about $95. If a dealer is selling it for $65, it is more than likely not a genuine Case-IH kit, but probably is a Tisco kit, which can be purchased for about $35 from YT or any other Tisco dealer. The Tisco kit is every bit as good.

You are probably correct, I just passed on what it said at www.cngco.com. Never got one of those kits myself. For the 400, 450 carburetors I try to just get a kit with gaskets and needle and seat, sometimes have to buy main jet adjusting screw packing or a idle jet seprate. All aftermarket made kits I find don't have the correct jets or shaft included for a 400 or 450 gas carburetor anyway. Never bought one of the high dollar IH kits. Do they sell one with jets and throttle shaft for a 362173 R92 carburetor?
